Pet Memorials

About half of the work I am commissioned to do are pet memorial paintings. I love this work so much because it gives me an opportunity to honor and remember those beloved furry family members who are no longer with us.

With each commissioned pet portrait memorial painting, I desire for the painting to bring peace and healing to grieving hearts who have lost so much.

Over the last couple months, I have worked on four pet memorial paintings. Each painting, when received, stirred up good memories as I set out to honor each beloved furry family member.

I wanted to share with you a story from one of my clients who had ordered a commissioned pet memorial painting for loved ones as a Christmas gift.

My clients Nancy and Ed from Tualatin, OR who unexpectedly lost their dog only 3 weeks after receiving the painting wrote this…

Thank you, Nathan, for painting such an incredible image of JoJo. While he was an older dog (almost 13 1/2), we did not expect to lose him a mere 3 1/2 weeks after receiving the piece. I can't begin to tell you how comforted I am by having your painting. It has made letting JoJo go easier, and seems to give me an added sense of closure. Every time I look at JoJo's portrait, I am consoled by your work. What a wonderful memorial to my dear friend. Thank you for sharing your talent!

Both Nancy and Ed expressed heartfelt gratitude to me and were very glad that they ordered the commissioned pet portrait painting of JoJo when they did.

I am honored to have the opportunity to create these beloved paintings to bring even just a little healing to grieving, broken hearts.
